We are one of Australia's Top 10 Wedding Photographers!
May 23rd, 2010 | in News

We have been voted as one of Australia's Top 10 Wedding Photographers by Capture magazine!

This is really exciting since this was not some random competition. Only photographers who were also nominated were able to vote for each other. One vote each and no voting for one self.

Being voted by our colleagues is very humbling and gratifying.

Thanks everyone!

Congrats to Carmel Denniss who won the Momento 'Through the Looking Glass' competition!!

For anyone who missed out there is still time to book into our next workshop but you have to be quick. We keep the groups small so places are limited.

Elissa & Stephen
June 24th, 2010 | in Weddings

Elissa & Stephen came back from the UK to get married in Sydney with their family & friends.

Following the ceremony at Mary MacKillop Chappel we headed down to Balmoral for some drinks and photos.

We kept it nice and relaxed and got some great photos along the way. After the photos we headed straight to reception at Public Dining Room which is right on Balmoral Beach with some great views overlooking the beach.

Wyn & Aki
June 23rd, 2010 | in Weddings

So one of Wyn and Aki's bridesmaid knew one of our former brides Yummi, and after looking at our work they decided to fly us to Brisbane to photograph their wedding. It's a small world.

Wyn loved the fact that we weren't afraid to shoot in unusual locations as she wanted something different for her wedding photos.

Now finding a location with a grungy/industrial feel in Brisbane is not that easy when we are based in Sydney. Fortunately our good friend Steve from ST Photography scouted some locations for us. In the end we found exactly what we were looking for. Steve also came along on the day to help us out with the shooting.

Wyn and Aki and their bridal party were fantastic. Even a bit of rain in the morning couldn't dampen their spirits and they never even raised an eyebrow when we asked to climb around a location that had asbestos warnings all over it or when we had to do a bit of trespassing to reach a cool location. Or even when we made them climb into the middle of a field that was covered in who knows what.

When we arrived at the boys place it was raining, but nobody seemed to mind.

Ceremony can be tough on the little ones.

Such a cutie.

Paparazzi!

Below is a really simple shot, but somehow it's one of my favourite ones from the wedding.

Laura & Liam
May 23rd, 2010 | in Weddings

I don't know how Laura & Liam managed to organize such a perfect wedding while living and working in Dubai. They obviousely had some great help back home and even made several trips back themselves to get everything organized.

This was one of those weddings where everyone just seemed to have fun and enjoy themselves. This made our job easier and we got some great photos.

The locations and venues they picked suited them perfectly from Liam's old school chapel to the modern and funky reception venue at Sergeants Mess.

After the ceremony we did a couple of quick photos at Riverview College

For the location photos we headed to Chowder Bay which was also very close to the Reception Venue

And we finished the evening by taking advantage of some cool locations at Sergeants Mess to create some moody photos.
