Just got back from Bali

We are back in Sydney after our wedding in Bali, and busy catching up with emails.

We had an awesome time in Bali, the wedding was gorgeous and Liya & Nick were the best couple to work with.

The night before the wedding we had a dinner with everyone at the amazing Sarong restaurant so we got to know the family and guests and I have to say, what a cool bunch of people.

About half the guests came from the states as Nick is an American stockbroker working in Hong Hong and the other half were the artsy crowd from Beijing as Liya is a pop singer from China. What a combo!

The setting of the wedding was The Istana a beautiful villa perched atop a clifftop with amazing views.

Mandy & Gary - The uberBooth

Tableshots are boring, or so our brides tell us. Instead we are now offering a Photobooth, or as we call it "The uberBooth". We just need a space to set it up and everyone who wants to have a go can model for us.

Of course it's not about serious formal photos aka tableshots, instead we want people to get up and do their thing, whatever that thing may be. 

You get a record of your guests and your guest get to have some fun.

Mandy & Gary's wedding was a high energy non stop all day affair. But it was so much fun. Mandy & Gary are totally fun to hang out with and once you throw in a wedding party of 16 people or so you have a party on your hands.

Ceremony and reception: Crystal Palace, Luna Park

Catering: Passion 8

The day started pretty calmly apart from that tricky top button. 

Mandy's gown she brought with her from the US. 

Mandy's Dad sees her for the first time in her gown 

Love the reaction of the flower girls as she gets her persent. 

The ceremony and reception were held at the Crystal Palace, Luna Park 

Gary sees Many for the first time during the bedekken ceremony. He is an emotional guy. 

OK, I have absolutely no idea why someone is holding up a pink rubber flamingo during the ceremony. I am almost afraid to ask.

The Hora is my favourite part of a Jewish wedding. It's mad, insane and so much fun. Although I am quite happy just to take photos. 

And finishing off with a father daughter dance.

Fleur & David - 29 November 2008

We had such a blast at Fleur and David's wedding. We had met them before at other weddings, after all they are the fourth couple from their circle of friends to be photographed by us. 

In some ways it was a bit of a deja vu, same friends, same church same pastor. Sounds easy but for us the challenge is to creatively make the wedding photos unique and not to fall into the trap of repeating the same stuff.

Fleur and David were up for pretty much anything so we just went for it, had fun and got some great photos.

Ceremony: St. Stephens, Newtown

Reception: Shores Restaurant, Mosman
