Shontel & Mark - 31 Dec 2008
August 27th, 2009 | in Weddings

This wedding was a first for us, a elopement wedding. Shontel & Mark came down to Sydney to get married on New Years Eve 2008. Just the 2 of them.

It was smallest wedding I ever photographed, yet at the same time one of the more elegant and one I will always remember.

So Shontel and Mark were getting ready together at the Intercontinental Hotel. Afterwards we headed down to the NSW Registry of Births Deaths and Marriages. It was almost surreal, Shontel in her gorgeous Alex Perry dress sitting in the austere waiting room of the registry. It was paradoxial but somehow that's what the day was about.

Once the official part was over Shontel and Mark popped the Veuve Cliquot on the  footpath outside the registry office. Finally after that we went for some photos. Both Shontel and Mark are into different 'stuff', anything but your traditional wedding photos. Our first stop was just around the corner from the Registry office in grungy Chippendale. Followed by more photos around the city for a more urban feel.

Finally we ended up at Woolloomooloo Wharf where Shontel and Mark spend lunch before heading out to Aria Restaurant for dinner to watch the New Years Eve fireworks.

Blue Mountains holiday
July 31st, 2009 | in News

Last week during the school holidays we decided to take a couple of days break & head up to the Blue Mountains.

We started at the Zig Zag railway at Lithgow which was a huge hit with the kids.

The train...

When the engine switched on the train, Felix, Millie & I were lucky to be able to travel with the drivers.

One the second day we decided to head to The Three Sisters & Jenolan caves

On the drive back home, as we were driving on sunset there was the most gorgeous light, so we stopped on the edge of the road for some quick photos.
